Vision Quests bring clarity of purpose, death of old self, healing and transformation on all levels. Many times animals, plants, the elements and the Ancient ones bring messages to those who are willing to take the time to go into nature and just be.

Deer Medicine Vision Quest (very gentle way of questing)
This is usually a 7 to 10 day experience but can be less. The first day we go into the mountains to base camp and connect to this Sacred Land. Day two is about exploring the canyon and finding the special place that you will go to each day to quest. Day three, after a light breakfast and setting your intentions you go to Vision Quest in your circle and spend the day. Then you return to camp and share your experience around the campfire. Each day you go to your sacred circle and return in the evening to base camp to sleep.
On this quest, if you choose you may eat a light breakfast, drink water and juice while in your circle and then eat a light dinner after you return to camp.
Many have come and had wonderful experiences and insights into their life doing this very gentle way of questing.

Bear Medicine Vision Quest (honoring the medicine of woman)
This is usually 7 to 10 day experience. We go into the mountains and settle into base camp connecting to this magical land. Day two is a land finding ceremony and choosing where you will do your VISION QUEST. Day three is preparing through counseling and setting your intentions, Day four you go through the threshold circle to your special visioning place to stay 3 days and 3 nights. It is possible to only stay 1 or two nights.
You will have water and corn cakes or another staple depending you your dietary needs. If fire regulations permit, then you may have a fire in your circle and stay up during the night and sleep during the day. You CALL FOR VISION and ask for support from the Ancient Ones and All Your Relations.
Julie will be holding space and praying for you while you are in your circle.
You will be checked on each day, but there will be no talking. At the end of the time you have chosen to stay out, someone will come to get you and help you return to camp. The next two days will be spent helping you to integrate what messages you received and preparing you to return to your life in the world. It is possible that a sweatlodge ceremony will be a part of this quest.

EAGLE MEDICINE VISION QUEST (spiritual warrior medicine)
This is for the
person that has prepared and feels ready to do a 4 quest with only water.
Usually a sweat is done before going out to your Sacred Space. This Eagle
Medicine Vision Quest is usually an 8 to 10 day commitment plus preparation
time before and regrouping after the quest. The first two days is connecting to
this Sacred Place and finding your special place. Preparation counseling is
done. You go through the threshold circle and stay in your space 4 days and
nights. When you come in there is
welcoming back ceremony and time to integrate your experience before returning
to civilization.

Special Vision Quest
Sept. 10-19. 2010
This is a very special vision quest. You must be interviewed and accepted to do this quest. Pre and post Vision Quest counseling is done. Spiritual and physical preparations are a part of this quest. Sweats, council circles, land choosing ceremonies and much more are included in this experience. This quest is facilitated by two elders, Jane Ely, Mi’kmaq & Cherokee, and Julie Rivers.
